Role Overview: Reporting to the Senior Director, Marketing, this position is responsible for brand design projects for a portfolio of programs and initiatives at Lincoln Center, including but not limited to fundraising and special events, performance series, and marketing campaigns. This designer will oversee these projects from concept to production and delivery, ensuring brand consistency across materials. They will work with cross-departmental stakeholders to design and build brand frameworks for programs and initiatives, executing creative across collateral, ranging from on-site signage, advertising, pitch decks, printed materials, digital assets for websites, email, and social media, and more. They will lead a small team of designers and freelancers to manage brand design projects, department processes, and Lincoln Center brand alignment across programs & initiatives.
To be successful in this role, you should have extensive knowledge of graphic design, styles, and techniques with experience producing dynamic and successful marketing campaigns in a fast-paced environment. You will work collaboratively with clients to understand a program’s goals and positioning and translate that into compelling creative that support the Lincoln Center brand and mission. Excellent verbal and visual communication skills and exquisite attention to detail while juggling many project outcomes is imperative. Knowledge of print collateral and processes will also be important.

Lead the brand direction for campaigns, performance festivals, and education programs for one of the world’s leading performing arts centers
Build and manage a small team of designers and freelancers
Create dynamic and compelling campaigns to engage young, diverse audiences with the arts
Work on marketing campaigns for performances and events that range from dance, theater, music & spoken word, and span genres across hip hop, modern dance, classical, jazz, & beyond
Design
Oversee all design elements, from the initial conception to final delivery
Collaborate with internal clients to understand design needs, conceptualize an array of visual solutions, and communicate them to clients and other stakeholders
Generate new brand concepts and frameworks for initiatives and programs
Work with stakeholders to determine needs and to develop graphic directions, concepts, and specifications for assigned projects
Extend program creative to a variety of formats (i.e., ads, website assets, email, social media, postcards, environmental signage, etc.)
Conceptualize and execute materials that support Lincoln Center’s fundraising initiatives. This includes the design of invitations and supporting event materials, custom designed proposal documents, and presentations for new pitches to potential funders
Collaborate across the organization to drive up standards of digital creativity
Ensure brand consistency throughout various marketing projects
Keep up to date with industry developments
Production
Plan production schedules for the various steps in the design process; analyze project development costs and develop project budgets and workflow for multiple concurrent projects
Identify, select, and coordinate vendors for printing and publication services, as appropriate to the project
Oversee and coordinate the production process; develop and write printing and/or other production specifications, and select appropriate production media and materials, such as ink and paper; inspect proofs for accuracy and adherence to appropriate production standards
Work and communicate across departments, incorporating all stakeholder input for projects and ensuring that final products are delivered in a timely fashion and meet quality expectations
Use your strong eye for aesthetics and visual details to ensure a quality final product. Maintain high standards of quality and make sure only the best work is released for production
Manage the work of freelance designers to give guidance and feedback and ensure quality
