The Compost Outreach Coordinator (COC) is employed by Snug Harbor, managed by the Senior Director of Community Impact with support from the Community Impact team. The COC supports expansion and operations of community-scale composting operations in Staten Island, through the development of Food Scrap Drop-off (FSDO) and composting sites, outreach events, volunteer engagement and workdays, organics collection coordination, BRS status report submissions, and administrative tasks of the Community Impact team. This position is responsible for a wide range of administrative tasks necessary to plan, execute and record the above-mentioned programming. The COC must understand the missions of the NYC Compost Project and Snug Harbor.
