Finance Analyst

The Finance Analyst assists the Finance team with a variety of accounting, budgeting, and administrative tasks. The analyst’s responsibilities include processing business transactions, verifying accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents, and maintaining financial records. In addition, the analyst supports activities and training related to ensuring expenses fall within approved budgets. The analyst performs front office duties and supports the team on important ad-hoc financial projects, including the annual audit. An ideal candidate will be familiar with budgeting and accounting procedures and systems, have accuracy and attention to detail, and be well organized and customer-focused.

Qualifications:

Familiarity with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and Google Suite
Familiarity with mid-level accounting systems
Experience with Abila MIP, Concur, and/or Vena a plus
Museum/cultural non-profit experience a plus
Contribute to a collegial and professional working environment
Attention to detail
Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities:

Enter accounts receivable and payable data on a daily basis
Assist with the management of credit cards programs, purchase requests, and payment requests through Concur Expense
Support team with periodic trainings related to finance software
Manage new vendor review and maintenance of vendor master file
Provide assistance in the preparation of annual budgets and budget forecasts
Support verification of budget coding for hiring and purchases and implement re-codes as needed and approved
Assist in maintenance of electronic and other filing system
Assist with documentation and schedules needed to support donor-restricted funds
Verify accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents
Perform front desk duties, including greeting guests, distributing daily mail and deliveries, ordering office supplies, and directing visitors and phone calls to the appropriate person
Help team members prepare for meetings and/or presentations
Assist on ad-hoc projects
