Institutional Giving Manager

The Institutional Giving Manager builds and stewards the Museum’s relationships with foundations and corporate partners. This role will drive growth by identifying, cultivating and soliciting new funding opportunities while growing and nurturing existing relationships. This role will primarily focus on institutional giving and corporate support opportunities including corporate membership and sponsorship opportunities for programs, exhibits and activations.

The Institutional Giving Manger will report to the President & CEO and will be a key member of the Development team, collaborating with the Individual Giving Manager and Development Coordinator. This role will also be working with our seasoned development consultant team to support prospect research, grant writing, and on-going reporting.

Registrar/Education Assistant

Reporting to the Director of Education, the Registrar/Education Assistant serves as the main point of contact for all Education inquiries, maintaining the departmental calendar and overseeing the reservation process for all school and camp visits. The position works closely with program managers to ensure successful planning, execution and post-program reporting for all education programs, including the Family Art Project, school and camp field trips and youth development internships.

Youth Program Coordinator

The Youth Programs Coordinator is actively engaged with assisting in the planning, administration, and implementation of all aspects of the Woodland Ecology Research Mentorship (WERM) and Forest Project programs. The Youth Programs Coordinator will also lead activities and teach in the programs and contribute to ecological restoration projects at Wave Hill and in surrounding natural areas.

Assistant Director of Public Programs

The Assistant Director (AD) of Public Programs is responsible for the strong organizational and communication skills to manage all aspects of public programming. The specific charge of the position is the creation, coordination, and implementation of visitor-friendly and engaging mission-driven public programs. The AD will ensure that programs reflect the mission and public programming vision of QBG, attract diverse audiences of all ages, and are guided by its long-range plan to increase and drive visitation to the Garden. The AD must be a strategic thinker, build external partnerships easily, and be an effective communicator across all departments.

Farm Apprentice

The Farm Apprentice helps grow and maintain our 2.5-acre production farm with fellow farmers, volunteers, and local workforce development programs. As one of the largest urban farms in NYC, we grow over 100 varieties of crops for our 20-week CSA, as well as on-site farm stands and institutional clients.

The Farm Apprentice is a two-year, full-time position designed to provide immersive, hands-on training in urban sustainable agriculture. Working alongside the farm team, the apprentice will gain experience in all aspects of small-scale organic farming - from greenhouse propagation to composting and cover cropping - while developing leadership, community engagement, and workforce development skills. It is an opportunity for a motivated individual to learn, grow, and contribute as both a farmer and a community leader.

This is a highly physical role. Team Members work standing, bending, crouching, pulling, pushing, and using basic hand tools in all weather conditions (including rain and extreme heat) while maintaining a fast and efficient pace working with volunteers.

Marketing & Communications Coordinator

Reporting directly to the Marketing & Communications Manager and secondarily to the Senior Director of Marketing & Brand Experience, the MCC is instrumental in delivering consistent messaging, enhancing brand visibility, and engaging diverse audiences. This position supports a wide range of communications activities, including website management, email campaigns, social media, press outreach, print collateral, and digital content creation.

Senior Communications & Marketing Manager

The Senior Communications & Marketing Manager will develop and execute strategies to build the Garden’s visibility and brand through a variety of channels, including digital marketing, press and media relations, and on-site efforts. Their work will connect the public to the Garden’s many identities—that of a botanical garden, a cultural institution, an urban oasis, a panoply of biodiversity, a leader in sustainability, a climate change mitigator, and an exciting destination for people of all ages and backgrounds in the heart of the most diverse county in the country. They will work across teams at the Garden to identify and share compelling stories to build audience and signal the Garden’s values; help drive visitation and ticket sales to on-site programs; and bolster the Garden’s profile through strategic partnerships. This position reports to the Director of Development and works closely with the Executive Director. They also collaborate with and provide a high level of support to the Assistant Director of Public Programs and Assistant Director of Visitor Services and other teams.

Curatorial Assistant

The Studio Museum in Harlem is seeking a Curatorial Assistant to join the growing Curatorial department responsible for the Museum’s collections and exhibition program. This position, reporting to the Curator, will support research and logistical needs for the department, with a specific focus on the collections, and serves an important role in the administration of acquisitions, loan and rights requests, collection inventory, and expanded digital access. The Curatorial Assistant will work closely with colleagues on archives- and collections-related research, exhibition planning and administration, and collection maintenance and stewardship. The position requires a candidate equipped to think broadly and innovatively about the Museum’s artist-centered mission, while also independently managing a wide range of administrative responsibilities. Capital Projects Manager

Queens Botanical Garden is embarking on several exciting construction projects that will help bring our physical environment in line with our vision for the future, including a new education building and an outdoor pavilion, as well as new garden areas. The Capital Projects Manager will represent the Garden on a day-to-day basis, and provide oversight and quality control for all scheduled construction activities. The Manager will work with Garden staff, consulting architects, construction general managers, contractors and city agencies to realize current public and privately-funded projects as well as future projects. This role reports to the Deputy Director.

Government & Community Relations Manager

The Government & Community Relations Manager stewards the Museum’s relationships with elected officials, government agencies, community-based organizations, and neighborhood associations, among others and seeks out financial support opportunities from City, State, and federal agencies. The Manager role cultivates public funders, identifies new funding opportunities, and envisions opportunities to connect with and cultivate community leaders. This role also serves as a liaison for neighborhood and community-based organizations, maintaining existing programs and visioning new ways the Museum can connect with its neighbors.

Head Registrar

The Head Registrar is an essential leadership position responsible for overseeing the art-related operations, management, documentation, and care of the Museum's collection. This includes the development and implementation of policies and procedures for the permanent collection, as well as incoming and outgoing loans to the Museum. This role ensures the highest standards of collections management while leading a dedicated team. Strong candidates for the position will have extensive knowledge of museum registration practices, a keen interest in contemporary art history, and a commitment to the Museum’s mission.

Head Art Preparator, Collection & Exhibitions

The Head Art Preparator, Collection & Exhibitions develops and directs a team of art handlers who implement exhibition and collection activity. They ensure and establish high standards of museum art handling and collection care from acquisitions to conservation to display. Working closely with the Collection & Exhibitions Management team and the Curatorial team, the Head Preparator oversees the successful execution of all art-related activity, employing skills and awareness in the areas of packing, crating, transportation, handling, and installation of works in the museum’s custody and galleries.

Accounting & Finance Coordinator

Reporting to the Controller, the Accounting & Finance Coordinator will contribute to the overall success of the Museum by supporting the Finance team to achieve an accurate and efficient accounting function. This person will assist the team in meeting all organizational policy and regulatory standards and collaborating on improving finance systems and processes within the Museum.

Senior Manager of Membership & Annual Giving

The Senior Manager of Membership & Annual Giving is responsible for developing, managing, and executing a comprehensive and integrated membership and annual giving program. The Senior Manager will establish strategic objectives and implement short-and long-term tactics, including direct mail, email, social, web, and advertising, that leverage the Studio Museum’s brand and mission. Art Education Coordinator
