Queens Botanical Garden is an urban oasis where people, plants and cultures are celebrated through inspiring gardens, innovative educational programs, and demonstrations of environmental stewardship. Reporting to both the Public Programs Manager and Marketing Manager, the Assistant will be essential in both departments. They will help execute public programming, as well as lead marketing projects and tasks that support the programs and other aspects of the Garden. They may be supervising interns and volunteers. In Programs, they will carry out activities offered to the public, including planning, setting up and staffing family-friendly attractions. This includes leading activity tables, storytime, tours, and community art, and assisting in gallery installations and event production for larger, garden-wide festivals. In Marketing, they will lead graphic design projects for print and digital materials, oversee installation and inventory of onsite signage, and cover photography at events.
